I'm very interested in this film. looks like a smart thriller a la Bourne. Stars Cheadle, Jeff Daniels and Guy Pierce.

Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda, Crash) and Guy Pearce (Memento, L.A. Confidential) star in Traitor, a taut international thriller set against a jigsaw puzzle of covert counter- espionage operations.

When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton (Guy Pearce) heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn (Don Cheadle). A mysterious figure with a web of connections to terrorist organizations, Horn has a knack for emerging on the scene just as a major operation goes down. The inter-agency task force looking into the case meets with Carter (Jeff Daniels), a veteran CIA contractor who seemingly has his own agenda and Max Archer (Neal McDonough), a fellow FBI agent. The task force links Horn to a prison break in Yemen, a bombing in Nice and a raid in London, but a tangle of contradictory evidence emerges, forcing Clayton to question whether his quarry is a disaffected former military operative — or something far more complicated. Obsessed with discovering the truth, Clayton tracks Horn across the globe as the elusive ex-soldier burrows deeper and deeper into a world of shadows and intrigue.

Damn, that does look good! The performances of Don Cheadle, Jeff Daniels, and the always great Guy Pearce seal the deal right there! According to apple.com/trailers, "Traitor" will be in theaters August 27.

Cheadle's a great actor that hasn't done this type of role yet. I'm really looking forward to it.

Agreed! It is about time Cheadle did something like this. Love everything he's done so far. I'll be seeing it sometime this weekend.

I saw it in a private screening. It was really good. The movie is kind of average, and some plot points are predictable... But it was good. The movie does a good job at letting people know that terrorists aren't STRICTLY middle-eastern which was refreshing.

The guy that plays Don's main friend in the movie was really good. I liked his character a lot. But the stand out acting was definitely Don. He was, as usual, VERY good in this role.

Saw this as well this weekend. Cheadle is pretty amazing. I had thought this was an action/spy movie but it's a pretty good political drama/thriller. Performances all around were amazing.

I saw it this weekend as well, and I agree, Cheadle is amazing as usual, and the movie was a decent action thriller.

I saw it when it came out Wednesday and let me say if you're looking for another Jason Borne movie you'll be sorely disappointed.

Possible spoilers...

I think that the marketers of this film over-reached when comparing this to any of the Bourne series. It doesn't compare when it comes to end to end action, IMO..

Having said that, it is a good film, with Cheadle performing well as usual. And I would recommend it.

Though not related to this new movie, I was so moved by Hotel Rwanda. If this movie comes my way, I'll be sure to see it
