Podcasts in the Video Store! - Blu-ray Forum

The video store is great, but needs some free content like podcasts, preferably Revision3 ones. Revision3 has some of the best podcasts out, and they're in HD, what would it hurt to add these to the PS Store? Totally Rad Show and Diggnation + PS Store = EPIC WIN!!

Veronica Belmont does Tekzilla (which is Revsion3), and Qore for the PSN. Maybe she could pull this off

My vid store is shady. Sometimes its there and sometimes its not. But you are right podcasts would be great.

It's not a bad idea. Especially with the ability to synch to the PSP with the store.

Makes the PSN Store more competitive versus say iTunes and Zune Marketplace instead of just Live Marketplace.

The ability to host user generated podcasts would be cool, although Home seems to be able to do that

Well, the good thing about podcasts is that Sony doesn't have to host them, just provide links to them and maybe a stylish icon. The files themselves would be on the content providers' servers so it wouldn't even really have to burden Sony except for making a request to Sony to get added to the Podcast directory.

Maybe Sony could just add another link at the top of the Store where Games and Video are now located. Though my thought was that the next link added would be for Music.

Since Sony is partnering with Amazon's Unbox service to make the streaming version available via their Bravia Internet Link device, I'm hoping that will make it's way to the PS3. The PS Store's video selection is pretty pathetic right (what's up with not even having all the episode's of a Season? I mean, what's the point of having 24 in the store if they don't have all 24 episodes?). Unbox has a rather nice selection, especially when it comes to video. If they could somehow make them available for transfer to the PSP, it would be a pretty nice service though it might destroy their own Video Store.

Also why aren't the movie and Blu Ray trailers on the Video Store? I never understood why they're still on the game store....
