Call of Duty Coming 2009 - Blu-ray Forum

CALL OF DUTY 6 COMING 2009 Sorry missed out the 6 in the thread title, great news anyway

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed that "an all-new Call of Duty" will be released in the 2009 calendar year.

With Treyarch currently developing Call of Duty: World at War for 2008, we can safely assume that next year's Call of Duty will be from the prestigious Infinity Ward. The way Kotick put it is that the new Call of Duty will be released "utilizing our leapfrog studio strategy."

We don't even have World at War yet, a little soon for 2009 announcements, but still good news that they will keep the series going.

So we should all just skip COD5 since 6 is coming right around the corner from a better studio. CoD4 will last another year.

COD5 may be good, but going from modern times, back to world war 2, it makes it seem like its a step backward.

This is not a surprise. They said they're going to be cranking out a Call of Duty and Guitar Hero Title every year from now on.

yea same here..i might give it a rent to play the story line and a little online because they are suppose to have some great new features but i couldn't get dedicated to a WW2 game after cod4... its just not going to be the same

Any news on the name of COD6? Saw the video of COD5 it was awful. Updated guns, maps etc.. will make COD4 last another year for me.

I look forward to that. I don't think I will get COD5 as well. But I have to admit the graphics is pretty awesome.

They are reusing the same engine. I refuse to pay for another 600p CoD.

CoD4 has amazing graphics, why would you get so pissy just because it's 600p?

PQ in games are nice, but to me gameplay is the most important part of any game.
