anyone bothered by the profiles issues?

i remember a time when dvds came out that your brand would take your dvd players and they would factory update them in order to correct playing issues.
that issue has been corrected on blu ray since you can download firmware.

but how about entusiasts who bought hardware with profiles 1.0 and paid higher prices than the ones actually on the market, those entusiasts helped blu ray get where it is today, and now this people (me included) have to buy an upgrade 2.0 profile hardware because those high end hardware players aren´t able to be upgraded to that profile in order to play blu rays with those requirements.

what a great way to be paid for supporting a new technology!
