What software do i need to watch blu ray movies on my xps m1730? I installed the drive, but not sure what i need to view the movies?

Also, what software do i need to burn blu ray?

Not sure of the machine's capabilities... run this:

If everything is Green except software...

Playback software - WinDVD 9 Plus, or PowerDVD 8 Ultra, or ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater(my fav).

Burning software - nearly all major burning applications and suites(Roxio/Nero/Ulead/Cyberlink/Corel...) will burn Blu-ray Discs.

I'm pretty sure Dell has BR software bundled with the laptop if you get it with a BR drive. Even so, I highly recommend Corel WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray. You should definitely get it if you have to buy the software. I got my copy discounted off eBay.
