Default GOOGLE Street View captures drunk!

clicky

Quote:
A man who fell asleep in a drunken stupor on the grass outside his home was horrified to find his embarrassment posted on the internet.

He had been drowning his sorrows over the death of a friend and collapsed after climbing out of a taxi.

As he slept off his excesses, a car-mounted video camera passed by to record pictures of the street for Google's StreetView website.

Could this guy have a law suit against Google? If he can be recognized by his picture and didn’t give his “express written consent”…?

Its in a public area, so no. Its the same principle the "Girls Gone Wild" guys use to film women who may not want to be filmed.

Are these pictures even real? I'm sure there are chances of things like this happening, but the pictures seem a bit different than the Street View pictures I've seen when playing around with Google Earth.

I also find it a bit odd that Google spends their time documenting streets like these. It's one thing for Street View in cities, when it might actually come in handy while trying to locate a store or restaurant, when traveling.

Pittsburgh couple is suing Google for invasion of privacy, claiming that the web giant's popular "Street View" mapping feature has made a photo of their home available to online searchers.
i am sure with all the attention everyone is looking
Quote:
But when Pittsburgh was added last October to the roster of cities covered by Google's "Street View" feature, the Borings allege, their "private information was made known to the public," causing them "mental suffering" and diminishing the value of their home (which cost the couple $163,000, according to property records). The Borings are seeking in excess of $25,000 in damages and want a court order directing Google to destroy images of their home.

they dont have street view of my community.. but they do right outside of my community..

interesting feature.

I'd argue, if these people are in fear of their privacy, why dont they build a big azz fence all around so that NO ONE (not including passing traffic/pedestrians) can see their house.

thats just stupid.
