I'm looking to set up my home theater soon and I have a couple of questions which I hope all you knowledgeable people here will know the answers to.
![]() What I want to do is use my playstation 3 as a source for video and audio coming from cd, dvd and blu-ray. What I would like it to do is just read the source discs and pass along the data to an AVR (Onkyo TX-SR806) via HDMI 1.3a without tampering with it. So no decoding or upscaling, I want it all done within the AVR. So technically would this be possible? To let the AVR decode the sound, upscale and de-interlace the video (if coming from a dvd) and pass it on to the 5.1 speakers and television via HDMI. If so what settings should i use on the playstation 3? Thanks in advance for any help with this issue, I know I'm more then a little demanding ... ![]() Greetz! |
