Default Polk Audio LSi15

I went into a local electronics store after seeing some KEF speakers in their flyer, but the KEFs left something to be desired, feeling very small compared to my Klipsch towers. I wanted something with more bass and a heavier mid range, so the manager of the store comes out and introduces himself and asks what I have for speakers.

After a while chatting about my speaker setup and what kind of music I listen to, etc, the store manager takes me over to show me the Polk LSi15's, a bit of a butterface of a speaker (everything's good, but her face) but I actually really liked the sound of them... although I was not completely blown away. I'll be going back on the weekend to give them another listen with some material I'm more familiar with.

Anybody have these speakers or any opinions on them? Thanks

I do know that they are primarily for music, and they have a 4-ohm impedance (bit of a setback for some receivers) - ironically, I actually think they are very beautiful speakers! But for movies, I'd stick to their RTiA line if you wish to go with Polk, allstar.

I do know that they come with subwoofers already in them - unsure how much bass you want in your movies setup, hence why I think they're more for 2-channel music listening.

they still aren't are heavy on the lows as my RF-35s... they only have one 8 inch driver each after all

But I am contemplating them as a stereo set with a tube amp too, not necessarily as part of my 5.1

Check out the RTi12.
They are very clean and you should be able to get a free sub or credit for a better sub. These work well for both music and movies IMOP.
