Default What's wrong with November

September and October are filled with new releases and catalog releases, even December is already looking to be a very expensive month, but what happen to November that until now doen't seem to have so many new releases?

i dont think we be seeing DK in Dec. It is still going fairly strong in the box office now and should probably be staying in cinemas until mid-late Sept. Early Jan release is probable.

I have stopped buying older Blus recently and just waiting for these new-releases.

I should have my terminator sarah chronicles series today from Amazon!!!

Well, a couple of criterion titles are coming (The Last Emperor, The Man Who Fell To Earth, The Third Man etc) and JFK. Sure more will be announced soon.

Until the announcements are made, I'm calling November a rest period.

I've had to reconsider some pre-orders because I already had around 30 discs on the wish list and I am leaning towards restricting purchases to "the deals." Universal's growing list of three-packs puts the individual discs at much more palatable pricing—anywhere from $12-$17. I think the studios are reaching a saturation point for the last quarter or so of the year. I have grown indifferent to the "must-have" new releases priced at $27.95 because I know that there will likely be post-holiday deals offered up at nearly half those prices. I just have to be patient—there will be plenty of other goodies to buy.

The studios are just putting the finishing touches on October. Give it a couple of weeks.

I thought Dr Stranglove was pushed back to 2009, but I'm not sure. Check thedigitalbits.com, they might have it listed.

By the way, I've got an update for you on the status of a couple forthcoming Sony Blu-ray Disc titles: There have been a number of recent reports that Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb would find its way to Blu-ray Disc on 12/9. I've checked in with the studio and have learned that this is NOT the case, but that the title IS expected to be released in 2009.
Fixed previous post.
