Heh, I first heard about this last month but I didn't think it was particularly newsworthy since they were already announced for Europe. I would've posted sooner if I had known the news would have made it to the front page.

Anyways, according to AV Watch (THE most reliable source for Blu-ray news in Japan), Goonies will have TrueHD but Gremlins will not. Doesn't necessarily mean that Gremlins will be released that way in the US, but it might be a good idea to let Warner know we want lossless on ALL releases.

Well, the Gremlins release in Japan has been delayed with no news of a new release date. Disappointing news, but hopefully it means they will include lossless audio.

Hopefully that means Warner reconsidered the release and is giving Gremlins lossless.
