Default 7.1 PCM to 5.1 PCM receiver
Hey all.

If I have a 5.1 receiver that can handle multichannel audio over HDMI
and a PS3 converting Blu ray HD audio tracks to PCM.

Is the receiver going to be able to handle 7.1 from the ps3 and just ignore the 2 channels ?
Will it down mix it ? or simply won't handle it and use standard lossy 5.1 tracks ?

This is the receiver Sony HTDDWG800 ( yes shudders HTiB )
Any insight would be great
