play.com sometimes ships things before the street date, but not all the time. I've had things about 2 weeks before the street date from that site but again not all the time

I have a question as I am a bit curious, Is there a reason why anyone would want to receive their discs prior to street date?

I rarely purchase discs on date of release and tend to wait for offers or sales to get best value. I don't mind waiting months to get hold of a particular disc.

Thanks.

well, there can be many reasons according to people..
even for me , it depends,
it can be because i loved a particular movie and don t wan t to wait for promos,
it can be because i m an actor s fan(such as jet li for example, that s why my username is gaeljet , gael s my first name and jet for jet li, even though it s not his real name of course since it s li lian jie, or li lian kit [differences btw cantonese and mandarin ])
it can be just because i don t want to wait for promos (sometimes i know i ll have to wait for a long time for a particular title)
that said, i buy and sell a lot of blu rays (used then) this way i can buy cheaper, and sell those i didn t like that much(generally titles i had never seen, and/or with a too bad PQ for me at least)
plus, dollar is so weak compared to euro that it s not really expesive, even for new titles and with international costs..

I can't find anything for sale on that site. I know I've just got to be overlooking something obvious but I'm just not seeing it.
