Default Blu-Ray Region Lock Restrictions as popularity grows.

Hi,

I am posting this because I am currently considering getting a PS3 and am not sure if I should buy one locally (Region B) or import (Region A). I am also posting this because I'm interested in peoples ideas on the subject.
What do you guys think will happen with region locking as the popularity of blu-ray grows. I feel that it may become more enforced. At the moment there are a lot of region free (multi-region) blu-rays. Either this is because the companies that are doing this are being extremely nice... or (and more likely) I think it may be because of the current numbers of product being sold (compared to say dvd) and the lack of pressing plants setup in all the different regions. Therefore at the moment they are probably using only a number of pressing plants and due to the smaller number being sold it costs them less just to print them all for regions A, B, and C. If anyone has any information on this or an opinion would be good to hear.

Thanks.
