Default New Directv HDDVR

Hi guys and gals. I was wondering if anybody out there might be able to help me out with this question. I just purchased the newest HDDVR from Directv and was wondering if anybody knows whether or not you're able to copy the videos that you've recorded to your CPU or a DVD burner to be copied and played on other T.V.'s. Well any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nutty

i belive if it has a sata port, you can get a sata external hard drive, and copy them to it to put on your cpu

but first check with direct tv, and make sure this function is supported

Edit, but I dont know how you would hook the sata Drive up to your pc,unless Your MOBO had an ESATA port on it

i tried with a USb HdD and the manual said SATA is what to use

Default update to earlier topic

Hello to all. I just thought I'd let you know if you're looking for an expander for your current DVR situation. I did a little research and found these external hard drives by Western which are specifically designed to work as storage units for DVR components. Well thanks again to everyone who has shared their info.
