What is the hdmi out port on the receiver for? - Blu-ray Forum

Noob here. I'm starting to set up my home theater right now. I have a yamaha 6160 and polk rm6750 ready to go. But i'm a little lost on one thing. What is the hdmi out port for? TV? Cable box? Help!

It goes to the HDMI in on the television.
