This shouldn't be much of a concern considering the protective coating. They are harder to scratch than dvd's or cd's, so if you have similar systems for those formats they should suffice.

Dude, sleeves are not going to look good. You plan to what ? pile them up somewhere ? it will make it harder to find one movie cause you will have to delve through the pile.

Maybe they should sell ultra-thin cases for Blurays. They do for DVD's so maybe you could use those.

Any "book" that holds CDs will work...... I wouldn't do a "Spindle" (like the ones you get when you buy 100 blank CDs for instance) because it'd be hard to sort through them....

look into case-logic

Most Jewel case dealers will have different colored sleeves, sleeve boxes AND dividers for you!!!

I think it is a great idea and reminds me of the days I collected comic books.

You can have two neatly kept boxes with hundreds of movies on a small shelf or an end table and the best part is that nosey visiters won't mess with your collection.

I wish I had the link for you, but some kat posted a thread (something about the best fake Blu-ray cases) and the place is amazing. If anyone can use the search function better then I can, can you please post the link here.

Later,

thanks guys for all the responses...im gonna go in that direction, but i guess ill have to shop around...i see case logic has some sort of "prosleeve" patent on their sleeves, so i may have to go with them...to make sure my hd-dvds don't get scratched lol

They don't scratch AS EASILY with normal handling. If you throw one down the street...it will scratch. The sleeves will not bother this guy's collection.

They scratch, but the disc shows no effects from the scratches.

Nothing. I have 250 Blu-Rays and would never put them in any book or other cases. That's all.

well its not only a space issue for me...i personally dont like the snap-lock style blu-ray cases provided by sony and disney....i find it a hassle to click in the discs into their cases, and find that some of the locking mechanisms for the centre nub of the case, is too harsh on the disc itself....so the clear choice for me would be to go to sleeves...btw i meant not like paper sleeves...i meant like plastic sleeves....this way i don't have to worry about the discs being put under pressure, and this also saves space....i think ill probably go with something like this:

I just put them on my DVD Rack and they are in perfect condition, not one scratch.

It's an OCD thing hahahaha.
