Anybody else go crazy collecting dvds and now learned to just collect the great films? I had 289 dvds and now I am going to Blu Ray and am just going to collect my favorites and no more junk...
Just the best in each categorie
Horror
Drama
Comedy
Nostalgic 80's films(John Hughes) LOL

My thoughts exactly. I would buy a DVD, watch it once or twice, then it would go into a disc case with hundreds of others just like it. I recently sold a huge lot of about 200 DVDs on eBay and don't miss any of them.

My criteria for a BD purchase is usually all of the following

Personal favorite (actor or film)
Special features in HD/BD Exclusive extras
A good mastering/re-mastering for Blu-ray (looks and sounds better than upscaled DVD version)
