Default Save Superman's birthplace

http://www.ordinarypeoplechangetheworld.com/

The house where Jerry Siegel created Superman has fallen into a pretty bad state of disrepair, and the city of Cleveland, Oh has apparently not deemed it important enough to save. In response, a group of comic book writers and artists have gotten together to auction off exclusive Superman artwork and other paraphernalia in an effort to save Superman's birthplace. Check it out!

Over here in Belgium we have a long tradition of comics. Take Hergé (Tintin's creator). The house where he lived is preserved.
I hope they do the same for Superman's creator.

Rin tintin. I loved that show. What a dog......Made Lassie look like a b!t@h. I definitely would'nt call him a comic though, not funny at all. By the way, Rin Tin Tin was not Belch. He was an American dog.

Everyone knows Superman was born on Krypton ...in all seriousness this sounds like a fine idea but I'm not sure how much historical value Siegel's house really has.

yeah, i was trying to prevent the Death Star from destroying it, but there just wasn't enough response from the community. I was like people and aliens this could be your planet next, but nobody gave a crap.

had a nice bill ready to nix it in the Senate too, but Palps dissovled us before we could make it law.

luckily there was a two meter wide exhaust port in a trench that we could fly down and shoot proton torpedos to blow the thing up before it destroyed anymore planets.

we were a little worried when they started building a new one, but got an architect spy in there that convinced the Empire that even though the first one got blown up by a 2 meter, it would be fine to make four tunnels big enough to fly the Millinium Falcon through directly into the Second Death Stars core.

Okay but I thought Belgian comics were well known worldwide: Tintin, The smurfs, Gaston and many more ...

The Smurfs are known over here, but we don't consider them to be a big comic series really. Gaston is not well known at all, Ive heard of him, but have no idea what he does or really who he is, Tintin, never heard of him.

Garfield, Peanuts, Ziggy, Dilbert are all much better known comics here. Ill add that I think Mark Trail sucks, who wants to read a comic about nature.

Of course you know Garfield and Peanuts better as they are American. But the Smurfs are known worldwide nonetheless and those who have an appreciation for intenational culture know Tintin and other Comics.
Gaston is so funny, he works in this office and is so very lazy that he always finds a way to avoid work and instead spends his time making gadgets and contraptions that never work and always anger his superiors. He has a cat, a seagull (yes a seagull) which he takes to work and help in making life impossible for his superiors ...

No smurfin way am I reading a comic about the smurfs. I'd rather go smurf my self with a smurfer.

BTW I didnt know international culture was assessed by your knowledge of rintintin and the Smurf comics. If so consider me uncultured, internationally.
