Default Having trouble selecting Klipsch system (3 options)

I have my AV setup in my awkwardly laid out living room right now until I furnish my basement which is a good year or two away at least. I have a Pioneer 1018 7.1 receiver and I want a system that is good enough for when I move the entertainment equipment to the basement. I'm no hardcore audiophile but I want a better than average system that matches up with my receiver.

Here are the 3 packages I'm looking at:

Klipsch 5.1 Synergy
Price: $1237
Center: C-2
Front: 2 x F-2
Surround: S-1
Sub: SUB-10

Klipsch 5.1 Icon-V
Price: $2700*
Center: VC-25
Front: VF-36
Surround: VS-14
Sub: SUB-12
*Also comes with a 40" 720p Samsung LCD TV which I can sell for about $900

Klipsch 7.1 Reference
Price: $2300
Center: RC-52
Front: RF-62
Surround: RS-10 + RS-42
Sub: Velodyne DLS-4000R

The Synergy package is my cheap out option but most seem to prefer the Reference line. I'm not sure how the Icon-V series stacks up to the Reference since I couldn't get a decent demo from any Best Buy I went to. I was already leaning towards the Reference package but I'm not too familiar with speaker pricing and not sure if that is a good enough price for me to jump on right now.

Any other recommendations are welcome as well.
