I bought a 40" for $1999 - 10% off plus tax from Best Buy. I have no complaints about the TV.

I nabbed the 46" XBR4 today for $1,960 at Best Buy. They matched the Sears price and then I am getting $40 worth of Reward Zone coupons. Plus 3 years no interest!

I LOVE this TV!

It's a very good deal, but not unexpected... a lot of places have those things as clearance/closeout, since they are two years old. I would definitely snag it if you need a TV, those things kick ass. Just make sure it isn't a used-up floor model.

good price.

sub $2000 for a 46 XBR is great deal!

I have seen $2100ish for 46 XBR4 around Feb/Mar when I bought my 52".

You wont regret it and for less than $2000, 46XBR is one of the better looking/performing lcd there is. Any better, you're looking at mid 2000 or $3000+

I picked up a 40" XBR4 right after Christmas (Dec 2007) for $1899 and I love it. I plan to keep this display for a couple of years and expect by that time the LED sets to be more reasonable... or perhaps OLED.

BTW, I saw on AVS forum that there is a firmware update just released for the XBR4 series. Apparently, the latest code fixes more than the "pink" issue. Smearing and motion flow issues are suppposedly better.
