Default The Beat Goes On - trade-ins?

Hey, I'm sure a lot people around Ontario have heard of this store. They've got a bunch of locations and a pretty sweet website. The website states that for every trade in, they'll give you cash, or 30% more in store credit.

Just curious if anyone's traded DVDs in to them before? What are their trade-in values like? I have a bunch of DVDS to trade in, and while I don't necessarily want to hold out for a really good deal, I just want to know my options. Anyone have experience with them?

I've only ever had good experiences with them.

It's been a long time since I've traded anything in with them - I traded a couple of my free Blu-Rays last year when they were still giving you 5 movies with a PS3 and I think they gave me $8-$10 each. With DVDs, they may not take some if they have a lot of that title in stock. I'm pretty sure most of my DVDs traded for around 3-5 dollars but they were all very common and cheap movies. They have always been good to me when I've dealt with them.

I agree they are a very easy place to deal with for sure.

Last time there i traded in a bunch of dvd's and if i remember correctly the values ranged between $2 - $7. Depends entirely on the movie, if they already have it in stock etc.....

They were very easy to deal with, offering anywhere from $2 to $10 for reg dvds and more for special editions and such. Unfortunately, both locations in the Niagara area are shut down. I'm assuming the entire chain is done.

A store named after a Sonny & Cher song? Really?

You don't get much for anything you trade in; however, it's better than collecting dust and you can use the cash to buy something new.

They do carry used blu-rays and their website provides a list of all in-stock items.
