Default Can I put my sub here? (Pic)

I have a modest setup in my bedroom right now. It's a temporary thing for a couple months between moves. Can I put my sub underneath a desk where I put my TV?

The sub would go where I put the "X" in the poorly drawn picture.

Why not?

If it's temporary, I don't see a reason why you couldn't do it. Unless the vibration makes your TV fall off :P

I just don't know if this is an audio no no. I just don't want it to effect the TV in any way.

test it out at first to make sure it doesnt knock the tv off or anything else catastrophic like that...if it doesnt then it should be fine

Your desk is crooked, be careful with that screen.

Since it is only temporary, go for it. My computer's sub sits in that very position, and as long as I keep the port facing forward, I have not heard anything bad.

In saying that, I would NOT do this in a permanent installation. Resonances from reflections off the side panels of the desk can introduce peaks and valleys in the subs response that can be very audible.
