Default DvDO VP-30/50 Video processors......

Has anyone out there, bought a DvDo VP-30, or DvDo VP-50 video processor? I was checking them out online, cause to get cable to my SXRD, We had to run a cable from the basement, through the floor to my bedroom(30 feet or so). In turn this affects my HD signals a little bit, and I wish to improve my cable picture! I was told this was the one to get? (VP-50)

By cable you mean the coax cable?

The DVDO VP-30 and VP-50 are great devices but they won't help you improve the signal strength of a coax cable. They are video processors (some of the bests!) that are used for de-interlacing, scaling, edge enhancement, gamma correction, etc....

If you have a weak cable signal, you need to have the cable guy come to your home and balance the signal. By the way, if you installed the new cable line yourself and didn't advise the cable company, that may imply some fees...

I see........(yes the cable was professionaly installed by comcast).........so, could I get a signal booster of some sort? The other two HDTV's are on the opposite end of the house (1 upstairs, and1 downstairs, and MINE on the other end of the house UPSTAIRS).Where could I get one of those boosters? I have asked the local jokes at my "BIG BOX" store and they have no clue what I am reffering to ....of course....

With my cable company, they will install the booster themselves and adjust the levels... Call yours you'll see...

Also you can check on the diagnostic screens of your cable box the level of the signal, the number will be in red if its too low... To access them, do a search for your cable box with service menu or something like that...
