Default Laptop PC Processors

Hey, I am thinking of purchasing a Laptop, but I need help in choosing a good processor. I am adequately informed as to the competing processors in the desktop arena, however, not so in the Laptop arena. My current PC is running Intel's E6850 Core 2 Duo and I chose this over AMD's X2 6000+/6400+ given Intel's current lead in the processor race. However, I do not know how the competition is in the Laptop arena. There is Centrino Duo, AMD X2, Celeron Duo among others to choose from and I just do not know which. I know that the current Intel processors whooped AMD's butt due to their lower power usage and higher computing capabilities, however, which would be similar in the notebook form? I am looking for a similar processor to my Intel E6850 Core 2 Duo in terms of a Notebook PC. I also want one that gives me more performance out of my processor since it will be running Vista whereas my Desktop PC is running XP. What are your recommendations guys? Thanks.
