Default switching from cable to ota

When I switch from cable to over the air broadcasting, will I find an imput dedicated to OTA viewing in the input settings of my Sony KDL40V2500 TV? Will I switch to an input then use the Sony control while in the OTA mode to change the channel and volume, or will the Time Warner control do the job?

Right now I view cable on input 6, view the VCR on input 1, and watch DVD's on input 7.

I haven't actually bought an antenna yet. I am thinking of getting the Philips PHDTV1 Silver Sensor UHF/HDTV Digital Indoor TV Antenna.

Time Warner is having a dispute with the local NBC channel in Dayton. All the local channels run HD except NBC. The station claims Time Warner is not willing to pay the going rate. The station is also running a banner on-screen saying that beginning Oct 1, you MAY not be able to see this channel through Time Warner. Direct TV and others are jumping on the bandwagon and are running ads in the local newspaper to switch over to their service!

My hope is to get the signal OTA and be done with it!
