Amazon Drops 30-day price guarantee

A couple days ago I bought a logitech keyboard for 69.99 from Amazon, and noticed today it's 59.99. So I called them to get a price-match, and they told me that they discontinued that service 1 Sep 08.

Sure enough, I poked around their site and it's gone. No reference to it at all. All they have now, is the pre-order guarantee. I searched the web a bit and many others have said the same, apparantly they shut it down quietly.

Honestly, that's part of the reason I LIKED Amazon and would buy from them even if they were slightly higher. Now, once my prime membership goes away, I doubt I'll be ordering as much as I used to.

Just thought you'd all like to know, I did a search on the board and didn't see anything from anyone else. Of course, it's not really Blu Ray season so much right now, but with the holidays coming Amazon may not be one of the safer bets this year.

i searched for the thread as well, it had a different title, sucks as I ordered 2 blurays that dropped 7.00 each
