Quote:
Sony continues to impress with there lineup of up home entertainment gear. This year, they are first to market with a 240Hz MotionFlow-equipped LCD HDTV. Not to mention, they have numerous releases in the areas of Blu-ray, home automation and media sharing. So, if you missed CEDIA, check out the 240Hz LCD and other technologies here.

More marketing ploys from the LCD team, only in a few years to drop large-panel manufacturing for OLED the same way they did with plasma and SXRD.

At least with OLED they'll be IMPROVING the picture quality of the sets they release rather than dropping the better display technology for once.

I guess I should reserve judgement until I see some testing on this set, but it's quite telling that Sony aren't releasing motion resolution numbers like Panasonic and Pioneer do. I'm betting they're still 100-200 lines away from 900/1080; odd what goes for "exceptional" on that technology.

looks good. I love my Sony SXRD with 120 hz I wish they continued with the SXRD line but onward and upward I guess. I paid $1700 for my 60" A3000 and I cant think of a better bang for the buck. I am guessing this new tv will be priced in the upper Pioneer Kuro range.

what a waste of r&d money. we don't need an even more soapy look. 120hz is only nessecary because it is the lowest common multiple of 24 and 60. 24p doesn't need to be flashed 10x, motion enhancement on this will look even more ridiculous.

put your r&d money into OLED and FED sony, not ridiculous motion enhancing soap HDTVs.
