Arrow And the rest of the info from the Disney press event...

Here's how Latino Review reported everything:

Quote:
Today at Disney's Special Presentation they held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, a few of us journos were invited to this company event. Disney showed their newest slate of upcoming animated and motion picture features. (They even showed us Bolt in its entirety in 3-D. Pretty good flick!).

A slew of celebrities hit the stage including, Robin Williams, John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Jim Carrey, Isla Fischer, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, George Lopez, Robert Zemekis, Jerry Bruckheimer, Sandra Bullock, Nicolas Cage and an actor dressed up as The Lone Ranger on top of a beautiful white stallion. Pretty impressive that Disney got all of these people together just for this event.

But while we got the usual fluff of celebrity appearances and so-so comedies, we did get some breaking news along the way:

* The Lone Ranger has been greenlit. The studio was wondering who could possibly play the role of The Lone Ranger when Johnny Depp came walking out in full Captain Jack Sparrow gear holding a six shooter and a mask. IESB reports Disney has said Depp will play the role of Tonto, not The Lone Ranger.
* The presenter (Dick Cook of Disney) then said "And why not a Pirates 4 for the fun of it!"
* National Treasure 3 has been greenlit. No news on story but Cage is back in the role. Cage will also be starring in a movie called The Sorcerer's Apprentice based off of the Mickey character in Fantasia.
* Johnny Depp has been cast as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. The concept art they showed looked really cool, and looked like the early drawings from Lewis Carrol books.
* Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride is going to happen with all four stars returning. This one will take place in Europe.
* Oprah Winfrey has been cast as the mother of the princess in Disney's upcoming The Princess and the Frog.
* Trailer for the new Bruce Willis sci fi film The Surrogates directed by Jonathan Mostow looked amazing. It's about people who live their lives through robots. Because everyone walking around is a robot, there's no murder or crime. Suddenly robots are starting to die so the real Bruce investigates what's going on. It reminded me of one of those old 50's science fiction short stories.
* Up will be Pixar's first film in 3-D.
* Cars 2 takes place around the world. Cars 2 will be supplemented with cartoon shorts called "Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales" that feature Mater as the lead in each. We watched the first short, called Rescue Squad Mater. Mater was telling Lightning McQueen that he once saved him from a burning building, and that Mater used to be a fire truck and a doctor. It was a cute short. The next two after that will be called Mater The Greater and El Materdor.
* Miley Cyrus came out and sang a song. It was at this point I went to the bathroom.
