I don't go for "Tier" lists, so I'd rather Blu-ray.com stay away from them myself, but if one were to be made, there is NO WAY "Troy" would be in "Tier 1". "Tier 3" at best.

I would agree with POTC being in tier 0... as well as Bee Movie...

Tier 1 - Nightmare before Christmas, The Shining

Casino Royale is Tier 0, or whatever tier corresponds to the highest PQ.

I think the idea of a tier thread for PQ here is a good idea. There is also a list over at HDD for reference.

The problem with this and any other thread like it is that its based on someones opinion and post #5 in here about 300 is proof they dont work

I personally would put it in the Tier 0 as I find it to be definate Reference Material in the Video and Audio department.

my corrections:

Tier 0 should not be about a pure, clean picture, it should be about accuratly representing the director's intent for how the movie should look.

POTC 1 should be taken out of Tier 0 and placed in Tier 1
No Country for Old Men should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 0
Transforemers should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 0
Planet Earth should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 2 or possibly 3
300 should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 2
Troy should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 2
Batman Begins should be taken out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 3
Blade Runner should be take out of Tier 1 and placed in Tier 0

Additions:
2001: A Space Odyssey should be placed in Tier 1
The Shining should be placed in Tier 1
Close Encounters of the Third Kind should be placed in Tier 0
A Few Good Men should be added to Tier 1
Cloverfield should be added to Tier 0
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown should be added to Tier 1
The Departed should be added to Tier 2
Finding Neverland should be added to Tier 4
Van Wilder should be added to Tier 4
The Untoucables should be added to Tier 1
Full Metal Jacket should be added to Tier 2
Surf's Up should be added to Tier 0

My understanding is that 300 is shown exactly the way the director intended.
