I'm just wondering where can I buy Japanese BD movies and can I also get a listing of upcoming and released Japanese BD movies.

Blu-ray.com doesnt seem to list it. Or I cant find it.

Two cases and two reasons for the higher prices:
  • US movies released in Japan: there is an extra link in the distribution chain, which means increase in price (as that link also needs to get money)
  • Japanese movies and series: the market is much smaller than say US movies and series (which are sold world-wide) and as such, they have to put a higher price tag on the discs in order to recup costs and still be able to make a profit.
So in short: more costly distribution system and in the case of domestic productions, the smaller market, cause the increased prices.
