Default Speaker Replacement

I currently have a B&W cc6 s2 center channel paired with Klipsch rb-51 bookshelf speakers. Should I replace the center channel and get the rc-52, which is the matching center so that the speakers are tamber matched, or does it not really matter all that much? I just notice that vocals on the B&W can sometimes be soft and not as crisp as I would like them to be. Thanks.

If you have a timbre-matching issue, it will show up in pans across the front three speakers i.e. you'll hear a difference as the sound field pans from FL to center to FR (or vice versa). Soft vocals from the center are strictly a function of the performance qualities of that center (and the quality of the audio track). Either way, if the RC-52 is the B&W "family" center for the RB-51's (so you know it's timbre-matched) and you like the improvement in vocal quality, why not make the improvement?

Go for it. All Klipsch fronts!

Edit: If you can find a Best Buy that still has the RC-52, it's on clearance and you should be able to get a good deal.
