Best PQ Blu: A tough choice between "Star Trek" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." "Star Trek" probably has the most consistent quality, but "Transformers" has the smashing IMAX scenes.

Then again, the CGI ones like "Up," "Monsters Inc," and "Battle for Terra" are practically perfect.
Best AQ Blu: I'm not a huge audiophile, but I liked the sound design in "Star Trek" '09, and it has a cool lossless soundtrack.
Favorite Live-Action Blu: Probably "Transformers: ROTF," for it does have awesome quality and I enjoyed the movie.
Favorite Animated Blu: "Akira," with "Ghost in the Shell" and "Final Fantasy: Advent Children" as close runner-ups.
Bargain of the Year: "Children of the Corn" for a whopping $6.99 on Amazon.
Worst Blu: "Gojirra," the movie's alright, but the PQ/AQ is pretty hideous.
Highlight: We got more Blu-Ray releases than in last years, much more!!!
Low Point: No "LOTR" still?! "Ichi the Killer" got pushed back. And "To Live and Die in LA" got pushed back! Wah!
Must Purchase for 2010: "Avatar," the "Alien" series, more Pixar movies, "LOTR" (for real hopefully, with EEs!), "Indiana Jones," "Star Wars," "The Abyss," "Minority Report," "Evangelion 1.11," "The Protector," "Ichi the Killer," "36th Chamber of Shaolin," the original "Clash of the Titans," "The Running Man," "The Music Man," maybe "Cliffhanger," "Gunslinger Girl," the original "Aeon Flux" series hopefully, "To Live and Die in LA," more Disney, and more from the Criterion Collection (oh yeah, "Yojimbo" is coming out too!). And I gotta see what "Planet Hulk," "Dante's Inferno," "Red Cliff," "Surrogates," and "Pandorum" are all about too.

Yeah very great year for Blu-Ray.Nice to have such great movies on Blu-Ray such as Snow White,The Wizard of Oz etc,etc.
Glad that we finaly got all 3 seasons of the original Star Trek on Blu-Ray. Thoe I have yet bought the 3rd season on Blu-Ray,but I will be picking it up real soon. But I did enjoy watching season 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray. And I loved the new Star Trek movie as well. And the Blu-Ray version of the new Trek is incredible. Great 1080p picture and a kick ass audio to boot.
Looking forward to seeing what gets released on Blu-Ray in 2010. I know one movie I'm looking forward to getting is The Road. Gush I want to see that movie so bad. I loved the novel,and I'm sure I'm going to like the movie as well.And I was planing on going to see it at the theaters,but sadly no movie theater in my area had it.Owell I'll will see it when it comes on Blu-Ray.
Well anyways cheers to 2009 a wonderful year full of great movies! And great Blu-Ray's too!!
