I feel like a noob for asking this but here it goes. I have a Panasonic Plasma and recently got a xbox 360 as a gift. Before the xbox I did not play video games but now i am into Call of Duty 4 and rock band 2. I know that my panasonic plasma has a pixel orbiter but i am still a bit hesitant to play on it. I usually play 3-4 hours a day and currently have my 360 hooked up to my high def 19 inch monitor because i am scared of the burn in possibility. Now my monitor is only LCD and i would love to hook my 360 up to my big tv and good sound system... Would you guys recommend hooking it up to a plasma if you play for 3-4 hours a day (including rock band) or should i just play on my monitor?
Thank You |

My son plays COD4, Halo 3 and others A LOT on our TH58PE75U (last year's model) and I have yet to see any hint of IR. I'm always looking for it (just in case), but so far nothing. Maybe I'm just lucky...or I need my eyes checked?

The thing is Rock Band has those damn lines that stay in place the whole time through songs. A long session might cause some IR. FPS games without a HUD(see CoD4 Hardcore modes) wouldn't have an image to cause IR.

Yeah, but he (and I) play with a HUD all of the time. I've also played hours of Lego IJ and BM without issue and my daughter plays Guitar Hero occasionally without any sign of IR. Like I said, maybe I'm just lucky.
