I'm sure there's still a sect of the U.S. that will insist that he's innocent - <removed by Blue - was found innocent by a court, so unless law enforcement comes up with new evidence, or the legal system appeals he DID NOT Murder his wife>

I'm not so sure that he'll have a rough time in prison.

*He's also less famous as an actor
*As I'm sure you noticed - he's black. I get a strong impression that the black community doesn't believe that he murdered his wife.

The man got away with <Removed by Blue> and has been skirting the law ever since. Didn't he get caught recently using his daughter to hide money so he wouldn't have to pay the settlement to the Goldman family? I hope they really stick it to him during the sentencing.

Most people don't even think actor/NFL player when the words OJ Simpson pop up anymore. It also depends which prison he ends up in. San Quentin, or High Desert State and hes finished.

Think about it like this... if you were in prison and got to watch OJ Simpson get off for murder of his wife and have a book published about it, how would you feel? Now how would you feel as a member of the most violent prison gang on the planet (AB)? He will either need protection from the prison or from black gangs.

The only reason I have an opinion is due to some family members who enjoyed stints in the American prison system and we discussed this earlier today.

Comments like that are why he might get off on appeals. He can say the jury was tainted due to his prior brush with the law and that the jury used this trial as "retribution" to find him guilty for alledgedly murdering his wife.

Hopefully he won't weasel out of this crime using that tactic, but it's possible with a good lawyer.

Everybody, regardless of ancestry, knows he killed his ex-wife.

Everyone, regardless of ancestry, knew it then.

Some people in the "black community" (I'm black, and know there is no such thing) hated the police. It was obvious that the cops framed Simpson; the idiocy of framing a guilty man just set some people off.

It was an foolish reaction to letting the cops who beat down Rodney King walk away. Politics, and justice, don't work in "tit for tat" mode.

I know you're not a bigot; you're repeating what you see on TV. Trust me, there's no one in any "black community" that wants OJ to take their sister on a date.

Looks like they won't have to worry about it for a while.

The rules haven't changed here. ONLY facts can be used here. No matter what you think of OJ, he was found innocent of murder. No matter what you think, that is the FACT. Many here have personal views but we don't need over zealous lawyers here wanting some action. I'm aware this is the off topic thread but this is WAY WAY off topic and we don't have a sub forum for way way off topic, so consider the party over on this thread.
