This is my first post here. I just recently built a HT. I have a
Pioneer VSX91TXH AVR with a Sony BDPS 300 Bluray. ( connected via HDMI). I hope you can help me I can't seem to find out the answer to this question. I am watching a lot of movies that are recorded in Dolby true HD or DTS-HD Master Audio. My pioneer is able to decode both of these formats. When I watch a movie does the AVR automatically decode this or do I need to do something to allow this to happen? If I connected them by HDMI does this mean the sony is sending the info to the AVR for decoding? What do I need to do to make sure I am getting these 2 formats to the speakers? I appreciate your help on this, I can't seem to find anyone who knows this. |
