Don't Forget about your "Free" Firmware Updates - Blu-ray Forum

I just installed my 3rd firmware update on my Sony BDP-S300. I believe it to be Firmware Update 4.20

This is free from Sony. Yes, if you are PC technically enabled you can download/burn the update to a disc to run in your player to update the firmware. I prefer to simply go online to the Sony Support page and order a free disc. It is my mail box in less than a week. (I tried burning the Firmware Update to a disc and failed time after time)

I'm not sure if other BD Player manufacturers have this same Firmware updating service.

I have already received the update 4.20 from Sony. Although I have not yet installed it.
I have not had any problems at all. If I do, I will be running the update

Sony is great with the updates.
