Default Is your next Blu-ray player your next HDTV?

Well this is ultra cool:

DTV-8634
SMP8634 HDTV Receiver Development Kit

Quote:
The DTV-8634 development kit enables the rapid
development of a DVB or ATSC HDTV that optionally
supports wired or wireless networking, web browsing,
MCX, DLNA, integrated IPTV and playback of Blu-ray
managed copies.
And how about these devices using Sigma chips:

Pioneer Elite TVs shipped with Sigma inside for " HOME MEDIA GALLERY "

And:

Sony's answer to SlingCatcher coming in July

Suddenly a device capable of doing the managed copy will become very important!

I'm surprised there has been no buzz about this.

TVs from Pioneer and Sony will be able pull BD managed copy and other HD streams off a home media server!

Clearly the BDA companies see BD as part of a bigger puzzle than merely some cheap and shoddy disc player (a la HD DVD).

It looks like the Pioneer is using PlayForSure - Not. Kind of a strange given MS has abandoned it and moved onto something else themselves.

Anyone know if it is embedded in the sigma chips themselves?
