Default Land Of The Lost = Not a flop afterall!

I was in a hotel over the weekend and I ended up buying Land of the Lost, now after all the reviews and the bashing on this film, I really enjoyed it. Has anyone else watched this movie and enjoyed the humor of Will Ferrell and the "other guy" I laughed alot during this movie, its kind of like the humor of Step Brothers, but not dirty. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars

I would watch it if I thought Will Ferrell was funny. He is a one trick pony that has gotten old, that is why it flopped.

Agreed....I just don't think he is funny at all. I'm not sure of this one, but a lot of his movies would go on my "worst movies I ever saw" list.

as long as the movie was successful enough to convince the studio to put out Anchorman on Blu, that's all I care about.

I think the OP is referring to being in his hotel and watching it on Pay-Per-View or something similar.

I saw this at a discount theater and thought it was HILARIOUS. A stoner comedy if you ask me.

I used to really like Will Ferrell, but I must admit I am getting pretty tired of seeing him in several new movies a year all with similar comedy styles.

I liked it too. Will is pretty hit or miss for me. This one was decent enough. I'll buy it when it comes out.

I was one of the Few that saw this in theatres and i gotta say I thought it was really funny. Universal seemed to be advertising the movie as sort of a journey to the centre of the earth type film and while it's a similar plot, Land of the Lost isn't exactly a kids movie. There's actually quite a lot of adult/sexual humour and i think universal would have been smart to play up that angle to get in more of the teenage and adult crowds..Universal had a terrible summer at the box office, i think marketing played a big part in that

I mean just after we meet Danny McBrides character he's holding one of those naked lady mugs and he says "It's the perfect woman, Big ol' boobies and no head"... Jokes like that are all through the movie, but you wouldn't think that from the trailers and commercials

I'd give the movie a 7/10, with it's only fault being the really bad CGI/Bluescreen work (which may have been intentional?), and a plot and story that aren't as tight as they should be. But's in no way a bad movie and it's full of laughs

First day buy for me

This movie will do good as a rental. Didn't have the chance to see it in theatres. Can't wait to rent it myself.

I actually thought this was one of the worst films I have ever seen, comedy or not. I don't think I laughed once.
