Default Xonar D2/PowerDVD 8 Blu-ray playback problem

Hello everyone and thanks in advance.

I have a Xonar D2 audio card and Power DVD 8 running my Blu-Ray experience, er lack there of. I am using a optical cable to run audio to my sound system which plays audio back in 5.1. Here is the issue. (I have tried mutiple setups as well.) I have sound in the opening scene which has Universal's logo. As soon as I get into Chaper 1, no sound. I look at the xonar audio center and no sound is being recognized. I have no clue what to do or what is going on. The exact same set-up I currently use works with some most blue-rays. The main thing I notice is that these discs have DTS. (I think) Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

do you have the drivers that asus has on their website installed?

http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?mo...=144&l3=0&l4=0

select downloads on the left and select your os version... 32/64 etc...

try using some other media player to see if it works... is there a freeware bd softplayer? does your video card come with a hd vid player?

your saying you get sound from some bd that has dts but nada from dolby? or pcm?
