Default A rather strange Pioneer problem

I had a customer come in to my work (he bought his audio equipment through us, but his TV elsewhere) and he said that basically he has a thin red line running horizontally through the picture on his Pio plasma... he didn't know the model name but he said it was almost 3 years old. My first assumption was some kind of error in the signal path but he said it's there on every source, regardless of if it is hooked straight to the TV or through the receiver... so another conclusion was stuck pixels... but a whole row seems a bit unlikely... he contacted Pio and they told him to just unplug the TV and leave it unplugged a few hours... i told him if that doesnt work to try a pixel flasher.... if that fails, what would you all recommend? (aside from selling him a new TV lol)
