I've only seen two TV shows which are "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" which I both like, I wouldn't mind if they were on Blu-ray...

Stargate Atlantis will also be released, check it out under the SCI-FI movies in this website. Not sure about release date yet though.

Thumbs up

Sopranos seasons 1-5...LOTR extendended versions...Rome, all episodes...Star Wars IV, V, VI...

I could even go for all available seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld, although they're produced in 4:3 with horrible audio quality and may not benefit much from BD.

My wife is into Smallville. I like it too, but not die-hard. I read that WB won't be doing any Hi-Def copies of past seasons. They released season 5 on HD-DVD, but stated that all seasons 6 and beyond will be in both formats.

I second that the disco channel puts together some quality programing.

Really? That's bad news, I was wondering if/when they were going to do the earlier seasons. I already own seasons 1-5 on standard, but was going to upgrade if they were all released on Blu-Ray, so much for that. I'll likely buy season 6 on standard now as I keep my standard and blu ray stuff separate and don't want 5 seasons on standard in one section and 1 or 2 seasons in my Blu ray section.

Well in case you're not aware of it, Planet Earth is coming to Blu-ray on April 24, and Discovery has had a Blu-ray Disc box set out of the Discovery Atlas programs: Australia, Brasil, China, Italia, for quite some time. I got mine from the Discovery store at my local mall. It comes with a booklet.

mmm I beg you to reconsider. even if you had the first seasons on SD, going to HD on the final ones will just make the finale more engaging.

It's like Buffy, the first 2 seasons were shot on 16mm, later they went on to 35mm (Super-35) so I think from Season 4 on, there are 16:9 HD masters

I'd like to see Band of Brothers on BD. That would be cool.

Definitely going to pick up Planet Earth series on BD. I saw a few commercials on Discovery HD Theater and it looks damn good.

I wouldn't mind any of the C S I series, and a side of 24 to go.

I wish Six Feet Under The Complete Series would be in BD. It would probably cost $1000 USD though.

When I saw the thread title I thought that it was talking about some of the movies that come with an extra something (an art book or in the case of anime a figure for example).
