Default Amazon European sites question

If the item says sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.L. that just means the items were sold by Amazon themselves right?

I've ordered from Japan's site and there's says something like Amazon international if I remember correctly.

Any info would be great, thanks.

The S.a.r.L. bit means société à responsabilité limitée, Amazon EU is a private limited liability corporate entity. Other countries have different acronyms in the USA it would be an LLC.

So, yes, you're buying from Amazon direct.

I've gotten the EU. notation from the European country branches of Amazon.

However, Amazon.Japan wouldn't accept an order from me, although I'd previously ordered from Amazon branches in US/UK/Canada/France/Germany/Italy/Spain.

I wonder if Amazon.Japan is a separate entity?

For some reason (perhaps having to do with primarily dealing with buyer's names that don't use Latin characters?) you do have to set up a separate Amazon Japan account instead of re-using your primary Amazon account. Once that's taken care of, everything is as you would expect for an Amazon subsidiary.

.
You mean the section where you type the way your name is pronounced.

Strange, I've ordered from Amazon Japan numerous times and never encountered that problem.
