Default HighDefDigest Website Reorg

I'm just posting something I noticed today. Usually, when you go visit HighDefDigest, it appeared from a layout perspective, they were kinda pedaling HD DVD at first, having HD DVD be the first tab available in the main navigation controls on the site and almost always mentioning HD DVD first before Blu-ray in images and such. Well, in visiting the site today, it seems they changed thier logo, with Blu-ray preceding the word HD DVD now, and moving the Blu-ray main navigation tab before HD DVD.

I realize it isn't all that important, but I find it interesting to say the least. Maybe HighDefDigest is beginning to see the writing on the wall as well,...prepping themselves for an inevitable slashing of the term HD DVD from their site perhaps?

I noticed that too. He also went back and updated pretty much all of the old reviews to use the star system.

Noticed as well. Not a major deal really but unless they are flipping coins these are conscience decisions.

Edit: figured this is a good place for this re: Sopranos

From the HD review;
Quote:
For those dual-format supporters who may be reading this, if you have teh choice, pick up the Blu-ray version for the audio package alone.
From the BD review;

If you're a dual-format next-gen disc supporter, Blu-ray is definitely the way to go on this release.
More good news for HD DVD!

I think Blu-ray should come first on all sites based on alphabitization alone. When HD comes first I always think they are favoring them.

I thought there was something different about highdigest, I had thought HD-DVD tab was always first. guess I was right, Blu-ray and HD-DVD tabs were switched, since there isn't much HD-DVD news now a days anymore, better to put the Blu-ray tab first.

I question highdefdigest like what settings did they use on blu-ray discs

I only check their site to see whats on blu-ray not their reviews

"The current core of our system is the Sony KDS-R70XBR2 70" LCoS 1080P HDTV. It is one of the elite consumer monitors that can accept full 1080p via its HDMI inputs, allowing it to display every last line of high-definition's maximum resolution of 1920x1080. Our Sony KDS-R70XBR2 has been professionally calibrated by an ISF-certified technician to ensure a reference-quality presentation."
