I got mine about 4 weeks ago. I have issues with the new locals in HD that I never had with the locals before, or any other HD channels before. They pixelate and stutter. Not constant, or even regularly; but periodically.

If you just got locals they should be coming from satellite 99. Check your signal and let me know how it is. You should be in the high 80's at least.

Yeah... not so good.... signals on 99a range from 87 to 91. I guess I'll have to call the tech out one day to check my alignment.

Check signals on 103. Your signal is not bad on 99. Do you maybe have a tree in the way that can maybe once in a while block the dish with a simple breeze?

Signals on 103 are much better ranging from 95-100 usually.

I've always had some problems with my installation. A small thunderboomer will take out my signal every time. At my mothers house, I've watched her DirecTV during Hurricanes Ike & Katrina both times until winds were well into hurricane strength. She has many more oak trees in her yard and surrounding yards than I do.

It's hard to get a good conscientious installer. These guys get paid by the job, so usually they will go for the easiest, quickest intall point instead of the optimal install point if the optimal install point is going to take more time.

My DirecTV, even with it's faults; is ten times better than the Mediacom cable I had before. Sound and picture quality is much better and customer service...... I don't even want to get started there.
