Default Finally watched the whole Star Trek movie saga.

So I finally finished the entire collection of the Star Trek movies. It's insane how they go from absolutely awesome to just terrible. What is everyones favorite? Mine is

My favorite is either The Wrath of Khan or First Contact. I can't choose one over the other. I love them both.

I'm not a big fan of the series, but I loved Wrath of Khan.

Two of the three written and/or directed by Nicholas Meyer, then?

(I like how fans think it's some kind of superstition about why the Even Numbered were the only good ones, without bothering to check those "opening credits" thingies...)

Undiscovered Country

It's got
- a hot alien beast morphing chick
- Sulu on an excelsior class ship (best ship ever)
- quotes from Shakespeare
- Kirk delivering that badass "fire!" line
- a bird of prey that can fire while cloaked
- spock putting his vulcan meld mind on a female, kinky
- kim cattrall, sex in the space
- drops of klingon blood floating around in zero gravity
- worf was in it

First Contact comes in at a second place. I know Picard kicks some major ass and goes Al Capone on some borg arse.

It's because back then noone cared about Christian Slater's career.

Apparently the same is still true.

Actually, Star Trek was seen then as a hip gig for many actors, and if you watch ST: TNG, you'll see all sorts of people make guest shots.

I know that is why I said 2-4-6-.....

Wrath Of Khan & Undiscovered just happen to be my favorite, the best stories and best made films of the series. I mean number 4, Voyage Home, it's a fun story but not exactly a classic However I do love number 8, First Contact which I think is the best og the Generation ones. Good stories, Patrick Stewart seem less wooden in it, like the idea of using an old Titan ICBM rocket to send the first warp engine starship of Earth into space.

For this longtime hardcore trekker, It's a pretty close battle between 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country' and 'Star Trek: First Contact' for the title of "favourite." However, I can definitely say that 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home' takes third place.
