Smile KLIPSCH RF-82 Speaker Cleaning??????

Hey All,

Just have a question....I like to keep everything in a glossy polished lookin in my HT, but Just have a question. How should I clean the speakers? I have the Klipsch RF-82s

Are there specifics on cleaning the inside (with the grill removed)?? Any specifics on special solutions used to wipe dust??? Anything special treatement required around the dome-woofers and tweeters??? I just dont want to damage by babys. Heck I can just use some Pine-Sol to gloss up everything??? Any Suggestions??/ Help Please??

I use those little Swiffer dry dusters that are flexible and go between the equipment, I just run one down the face of my speakers and pick up the dust. I wouldn't do any of the things you mention above to "clean" your speakers...I would say at most a clean damp cloth.

I use Pledge on my Martin Logan Dynamo, very effective cleaner on it, wipes away all smudges, fingerprints, dust, etc - and leaves it with a good deal of shine. I vacuum the grilles with a specific attachment to my vacuum cleaner. But as far as the drivers itself...never touched them.

So ur saying to using pledge on the interior/exterior, minus the tweeter and dome drivers?

Personally I would stick with the dry Swiffers mentioned above.

I think the finish on the Reference series is similar to that used on the Dynamo. Yes, only on the enclosure! Never on the drivers. Put some on a soft cloth and just rub gently.
