Default Paradigm DSP-3100 Subwoofer

I am thinking of upgrading to this Subwoofer-can't find much real world reviews. Anyone out there using one of these in your systems? I'd really like some thoughts and feedback,

thanks

I know it's hard to find reviews on the 3100,I guess it's just because there new.

I want to let you know i trust Paradigm Products. They have never let me down. I have two of 3100's,I find them very punchy. They go down to 24hrz and iam extremely satisfied with them.

If you only thinking about get one Paradigm sub and you have a big room may i recommend the 3200 (22HRZ) 12inch sub

like i said iam very satisfied in the 3100.I would recommend them.
If i didn't like the bass that came out of them i wouldn't have invested in a second one .

I find them very tight and clean not boomy (clarity is good). The distortion level is really, really low. You really can't here any at all.I think you would be happy with one

There's a lot of talk going around about these subs, check them out as well .Ive been hearing a lot of good things on this forum about them.

Good luck Brother and welcome to Blu ray.com

I have the DSP 3100 sub (as well as other Paradigm speakers) and have been very pleased with the quality.

Thanks for the answers! I've been buying Paradigm for some time now and had an Ultracube 10 for a few days.

Wow!

It just was too overpowering on material with dynamic passages like "Master and Commander" for example.

My poor dogs set new speed records when the cannon fire segments came on.

I then tried a PS-1000 and found it to be a bit boomy.

I have been using my old Yamaha servo that is about 15 years old! Still kicks pretty good but I think it's time for an upgrade.

The good thing is my local Paradigm dealer-who has a lot of my money-doesn't mind me auditioning so I guess I'll try another Paradigm!

thanks again.

What?

Blu-is, iam assuming the sub your going to audition is already broke in.As you probably already know this makes a difference .It took me a couple of weeks for each sub.Big difference from the first day i used one and 2 weeks later.

But remember i bought 2 subs for my own reason's.
I almost took the 3100 back and grab the 3200.

The only reason i kept the 3100 was because i grabbed another one(a friend on this forum helped make this decision and iam very happy).

I have both subs set at 30% volume on the back.If i turned them up any more I'll be picking up framed pictures.

But audition one and post what you think.Iam interested
