Yes it has pre-amp out (HTR-6160).

meh...good for now, it gets the job done (better than my old HTIB). I don't have the greatest setting (pics this weekend, in my 2nd row thread) so amazing components are not a priority right now. I plan on buying speakers and all the extras in the next 2 years.

Maximum wattage or continuous wattage? If its maximum - you don't have a selection high enough for me.

Continuous wattage is 105 watts 8 ohms
Peak wattage is 500 watts 8 ohms

Where is the "I don't know" option? I have to look it up... (since it's completely unimportant to me)

EDIT : RECOMMENDED AMPLIFICATION

705s are 50W – 120W into 8Ω on unclipped programme

HTM7 50W – 120W into 8Ω on unclipped programme

DS7s 25W – 120W into 8Ω on unclipped programme

686s 25W - 100W into 8Ω on unclipped programme

My subwoofer is an active 1,800 watt amp.......

I am not exactly sure or really think it matters for most. Probably more speakers are damaged by an underpowered amp then an overpowered amp I would bet.

My amps are 130 watts/channel and my speakers can handle it. But then, I can hardly get to a volume that brings either the amp or speakers close to their limits.

Very true, even if it is little known. Over driving an underpowered amp is a sure way to damage speakers, especially tweeters.

I am not sure what you are really asking. Are you asking what the minimum or maximum your speakers can accept RMS or are you asking what your amps can provide in RMS?

My front L & R speakers have been totally rebuilt, redesigned and upgraded 2X from the old Dahlquist DQ10 speakers. These speakers at 8 ohms can accept at least 250 watts RMS.

My center channel speaker, a Nola LCR needs a minimum of 30 watts in 8 ohms and can probably accept upwards of 200 watts.

My rear speakers Dahlquist DQ 6Ci can probably accept 150 to 200 watts RMS.

My Epik Conquest Subwoofer can probably accept well over 1000 watts RMS.

My front L & R monoblock amps- upgraded Aragon Palladium 1 Ks will output at least 400 watts RMS into 8 ohms increasing to 600 watts at 4 ohms and 1000 watts at 2 ohms.

My upgraded Krell KAV 250a/3 3 channel amp will output 250 watts per channels at 8 ohms and 500 watts at 4 ohms.

My Bash amp for my Epik Conquest Subwoofer outputs 1000 watts at 8 ohms.

100% True ! You can never have enough power I have found out. Even if your speakers are rated at say 100 watts you can still run a 250 watt per channel amp and not run the risk of blowing your tweeters. Unless.......you are a complete knumb-skull ! Then you can blow the hell out of everything.
