Do you turn your PS3 "Off"? - Blu-ray Forum

Do you actually flip the switch on the back when you are done with your PS3?

I tend not to but I've started to turn it all the way off.

I don't turn the switch off unless I am taking the PS3 out of the stand to dust.

I turn mine off but never flip the switch that would just be a pain

I only do it in the rear if I plan on unplugging it for some reason. Other than that, there is no need.

I always leave it on standby while my brother plugs out the extention cord for the TV and console.

Oh, and what do you mean by profit?

Only time I have ever gone full-blown OFF is when I upgraded the hard drive.

Other then that, my baby is cocked, locked and ready to rock.

ok srlsy without the gutter mind - I never flip the switch off on the back of the PS3 unless I'm unplugging it from the wall for whatever reason.

I always turn it off by the switch, but then i also unplug it everytime so it wont get fried in a power surge if my surge protector fails. (i have a 60gb and don't want to have to replace it with one that doesn't have BC).

Why never flip the switch? Why would you leave an electronic device "on" if you're not using it? Maybe you guys watch several movies/play games every day? I might use my PS3 3-4 times a week; why would l leave it on?
