Default Not Using 1080p?

I was watching Planet of the Apes and I was messing around with video settings and I noticed that the highest I can get is 1080i. Everytime I try to get 1080p, it says "Unsupported signal. Check your device output." I'm using an HDMI cable to connect the player.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Hard to find specs for your TV...
http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Mitsubishi-WD-62827.htm

It says it supports 1080p_60, but the description says:

Each model includes Plush1080p™ – a high speed videoprocessor that upconverts 1080i signals to 1080p producing four times the resolution of traditional line doublers.

Some of the older TV accepted 1080i and output 1080p. Sounds like your set may be one of them. I think there was only one or two sets that actual accepted 1080p signals in 2004 when I got my first HDTV -- a Sony and an HP.
